Auction of Promises

As the nights draw in and you are looking for something special for Christmas, why not come to Bridport Arts Centre, support a good cause and take away a special something with you. Your ticket will come with a glass of wine, soft drink and canapés.

With enormous thanks to all our contributors, here are some of the promises so far:

  1. With spectacular views, a week at Minack House, overlooking the Minack Theatre, the coast and the sea. A stay in this property is a once in a lifetime experience as it is not normally available to rent
  2. A signed photograph from the Magnum photographer Martin Parr
  3. Something knitted by Cllr Sandra Brown – whatever you would like…
  4. A delicious three course dinner for two with wine at the award-winning restaurant, The Ollerod, Beaminster
  5. A guided tour around the House of Lords and tea with Tony Hall, Life Peer and Director-General of the BBC
  6. 1-2-1 sewing lesson for up to 8 hours. This could be focused on making from a pattern, making something decorative (like bunting) or just basic sewing skills to create something fantastic
  7. A day trip for four on the Oxford Canal in a fabulous 47 foot traditional canal boat, plus a buffet lunch with a view
  8. A week’s stay in Sturthill Stable, a beautiful three bedroom barn conversion for six people, deep in the Dorset countryside
  9. Champagne afternoon tea and garden croquet for six people in Whitchurch Canonicorum
  10. A weekend for four in  Barton Cottage in the heart of Symondsbury Village, with a delicious Sunday roast lunch at the Symondsbury Kitchen
  11. A course of three sports/remedial massages at the Twist and Shout Osteopathic Health Centre, Bridport
  12. A trip in an Aston Martin with a season ticket holder to see the Exeter Chiefs play at Sandy Park (ticket included)
  13. A bespoke two hour ceramics session for up to five people at New House Pottery
  14. A delicious home cooked takeaway Indian meal for six, delivered to an address within 10 miles of Bridport
  15. A couture dress designed, fitted and made – perfect for a special occasion for a wedding, cruise or a cocktail party. The bidder will choose their style, colour and fabrics, and will be fitted once with a toile, before the final creation. More info about Curtis can be found on his website
  16. A hard back book of Philip Sutton‘s work called ‘Life and Work’ which is currently out of print
  17. A poetry book plus the opportunity to have a poem specially written for you or a loved one by local poet Peter Roe
  18. Three hours of gardening help – no job too big or too small

*A pre Show Supper is available with this event* 

The menus will be published alongside the event two weeks before the show. Vegetarian options available.

There will be an option to add your supper to your cart when you book the event.
