Your New Season Programme is Here!

Are you hoping for an eventful 2018? Bridport Arts Centre has announced an exciting new programme for February – May 2018. It’s packed full of performances, workshops and exhibitions … with some real surprises in store!

There’s musical treats for all. People’s favorite Gaz Brookfield will return with his full band The Company of Thieves (10 Feb); history lovers will enjoy No Petticoats Here, the remarkable story of the women of the First World War. The Vision will bring their tribute to the ever-popular ABBA (17 March).

Excitingly, Charlie Bicknell will be back with an adult themed, naughty, not-to-be-missed cabaret and circus evening Church of Pleasure. This show will take over the building and offer experiences you’ll need to see to believe…. save the date now! (24 March)

Young children can sing songs about head lice, dogs eating soap and a dragon called soap (all of the important things) when indie guitarist Nick Cope performs his children’s concert. They can meet the Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly (28 April) or go on a magical adventure with George and the Flight of the Imagines (17 March).

In theatre we welcome back Dorset’s own Angel Exit with their show The Drive (3 March). Political favourites Townsend Productions stage We Are the Lions, Mr Manager!, the story of the 1976-78 Grunwick Strike (17 February).

The Allsop gallery will host Drawing the Feminine (3 Feb -17 April), an exploration of Goddess mythology through painting, film, poetry and sculpture. This will be followed by Matisse: Running with Scissors – a traveling exhibition from the Hayward Galley 2(4 March – 21 April).
