No matter what your age, interest or ability there are opportunities for you to get creative at Bridport Arts Centre.

We run a year-round programme of workshops and activities including visual arts, theatre, dance and writing –there will be something that you can try.

BACStage Youth theatre

The BACStage Youth theatre is one of the most important programmes we run

BACstage Youth Theatre gives young people aged 12-18 years the chance to express themselves and to explore issues relevant to them in a safe space with their peers.

Working with expert practitioners, BACstage meet weekly during term-time to work creatively as a team, with the goal being to produce performances to perform in the theatre – and beyond!

Workshops explore many different skills including Improvisation, Script-work, Puppetry & Stage combat. With guest practitioners bringing their specialist knowledge, there is something for everyone with an interest in theatre!

BACstage Youth Theatre is a member of National Youth Theatre Connections which helps provide exciting performance opportunities for its members with both the national youth theatre community and local performance communities.
