The BACStage Youth theatre is one of the most important programmes we run
“It gives young people aged 12-18 years the chance to express themselves and to explore issues relevant to them in a safe space with their peers.
It develops confidence and resilience, overcoming fears of failure and celebrating everyone’s unique skillset. Every year the group learns or devises a play and performs in front of a public audience, exploring everything from improvisation to script work and Puppetry.
BACStage Youth Theatre is a member of both National Youth Theatre Connections and Theatre Sports network which helps provide exciting performance opportunities for its members with both the national youth theatre community and local performance communities.
We are so proud of what they achieve.”
Bryony Moores O’Sullivan, BACStage Youth Theatre leader
