The Bridport Arts Centre Comedy Café showcases the best new talent on today’s stand up circuit alongside experienced pros from around the UK, providing a whole evening’s hilarity for just £5.
Bridport based comedian, and regular host, Tom Glover will welcome this month’s acts on Friday, February 8th.
Returning to the café will be a host of comics including Exeter based Charles Christopher and Louis Burgess, South West New Act of the Year 2010 Luke Honnoraty and Bridport’s own Gary Ball.
Opening the show will be Luke Honnoraty who performed at the comedy café’s opening night. Since his first visit Luke has gone on to win the London Comedy Store’s King Gong accolade and made the final of Loaded magazines search for the hottest new talent of 2013.
Closing the night will be headliner Matthew Bayliss who has travelled the globe with his own unique brand of unashamedly middle class comedy, sharing stories of growing up and getting old in the leafy suburbs of middle England.
With more than half a decade on the comedy circuit Matthew has gigged with the great and the good of UK comedy and performed at comedy clubs and festivals across the land.
As a father of six he draws much of his humour from tales of parenthood which ring true with audiences of all ages.
As well as introducing the acts, as ever Tom Glover will be sharing his latest material with the home crowd.
The BAC Comedy Cafe will be at 8pm on Friday, February 8th. Tickets are £5 adults/£3 concessions and available from the arts centre box office on 01308 424204 or online here.
