Shiry Rashkovsky (viola) and Lana Suran (piano) – Concerts in the West

A programme of Piazzolla, Ravel and Glass from two internationally acclaimed musicians. 

Shiry Rashkovsky enjoys a diverse international career as a soloist and chamber musician. Her latest EP, featuring a newly commissioned duo with Heloise Werner, was broadcast on BBC Radio 3’s New Music Show. A frequent guest at leading festivals including Prussia Cove Open Chamber Music, she has performed with artists such as Pekka Kuusisto and Viviane Hagner. She is founding member of the Trio Klein, who’s innovative Trio Klein’s 80s Night programme was featured on BBC Radio 3; the ensemble served as Artists in Residence at the University of Surrey (2023/24).

Lana Suran is an acclaimed Swedish pianist, recognised for her expressive power, refined tone and deeply personal interpretations. Her repertoire spans the Classical and Romantic canon to 20th-century works. Born in Stockholm in 1992 to Russian and Kurdish parents, she began performing at five and trained at leading institutions across Europe and the United States. Now based once more in Stockholm, she maintains an active international career as a soloist, chamber musician and educator.
