Want to develop your creative and performance skills? Why not join BACstage – Bridport’s inclusive theatre company for anyone aged 12-18.

Sessions involve warms-ups, theatre games, improvisations and lots of fun! We create plays, we learn to improvise and come up with ideas of our own and figure out how to turn them into performances. It’s a great place to develop your confidence, to work collaboratively, to work solo if you want to, and to see your ideas realised.

Working with professional director Niki McCretton and a team of expert theatre practitioners, we work as a group to find ideas, express ourselves and enjoy being creative in a supportive and fun atmosphere. Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary. We are a diverse group, welcoming everyone.

We meet weekly on Wednesdays during term-time to work together as a team to create performances and shows in our theatre and beyond. 

Past members have written plays and music, created poems and songs and helped with props and costumes.

Autumn term starts Wednesday 10 September 2025.
Arrive at 5.45pm and session runs from 6-8pm.

£80 per term, but your first trial session is free. Bespoke payment plans can be arranged.
