Dance Jam | Cypher

Cypher means zero, a circle. The audience/community gather in a circle and the dancers dance in the centre.

A first for Bridport: a one-hour gathering of superb local and guest dancers. Up to 20 dancers will take to the centre of a circle and dance for 3 minutes and improvise their movements to different pieces of music whilst the supportive audience stand around the circle. 

This style of dance gathering, evolved through hip hop, gained widespread popularity in the 1960s. We will have a few 3-minute slots available for dancers from the public who would like to give it a go. To ensure we start on time, please arrive early. 

This is followed by a Soulfunk disco – why not join both? A night of fun – all ages welcome!
Tickets £10 Adult, £8 students
