Freedom Room at Bridport Youth Club
Messy and creative workshops for children and young people – contributing to an exhibition at BAC’s Allsop Gallery.
Bridport Youth and Community Centre is facilitating a ‘Freedom Room’ where young people are invited to respond creatively to what freedom means to them. They’re actively encouraged to get the space messy – that’s the point! So, wear something that you don’t mind getting dirty!
We want to hear what young people think freedom means – in whatever way they want to tell us.
4-6pm: age 7-11
6-8pm: age 12-13
Bridport Youth and Community Centre
Gundry Lane, Bridport DT6 3RL
£2. Open to all members of the youth club. If your child is not a member, a parent/carer can sign them up for free on the door. More info
The creativity and ideas emerging from Freedom Room will be used to inspire and inform a new exhibition in Bridport Arts Centre’s Allsop Gallery this October/November.
The exhibition will be part of the major national project, Our Freedom: Then and Now. We’re delighted that BAC has been selected as one of 80 arts centres, libraries and museums across the UK to participate in the project.
