Bridport Arts Centre presents work by recent graduates from two of the South West’s leading universities, Arts University Bournemouth and Solent University in Southampton. This exhibition aims to provide a platform for emerging artists as they navigate one of the hardest points in their careers.
Demonstrating a range of exciting talent in a variety of mediums, the exhibition contains themes of politics, class, race, domestic abuse, gender, social media, grief and the body. Sometimes playful, sometimes deadly serious, the artists talk about the world we have come from and the world we are entering.
Graduating in unprecedented times, these artists explore new territory using innovative techniques, materials and visual language. They engage the audience by looking at wider themes often from a subjective point of view and challenge us to look at ourselves and the world we inhabit.
