Leonian Dream with COSM & RatTrap
Join us for the second gig in a series showcasing the best up-and-coming bands from across the South West, curated by West Dorset’s own Leonian Dream.
Off the back of a successful self-organised headline gig at the BAC last year, we’ve invited Leonian Dream back to curate a unique residency. They’ve scoured the region to find the best burgeoning southwest artists to play alongside them on 17 July, 26 September, and 21 November. Building on a long legacy of championing new work and playing our part in launching creative careers, Bridport Arts Centre are committed to supporting emerging talent. Join us to help celebrate the energy and vibrancy of these new exciting artists.
Leonian Dream are joined for the evening by COSM and RatTrap.
Hot off the road from their gig at Boardmasters, COSM feature in the line up for this gig. Musomuso called them the “kind of band whose sound feels less like a collection of songs and more like a weather system rolling in”. The four-piece from Falmouth are fronted by Tom Hunter (vocalist-guitarist), with Jim Hunter on bass/vocals, Zach O’Loughlin on drums, and Emily Howarth on guitar. Expect loud guitars, heavy hitting drums, and vocal harmonies that are infectious.
RatTrap an indie rock band from Plymouth playing loud, energetic shows built around driving riffs and a lot of on-stage energy. They’ve played across the South West at venues like The Junction in Plymouth, The Cavern in Exeter and The Apple & Parrot in Torquay. Both of their guitarists are from Bridport and are genuinely buzzing to be playing back home
Leonian Dream return this November with an evening full of soulful vibes. Joining them will be emerging artist Kate Hall and local musician George Hall. Expect an evening full of different genres blending Roots Rock, Indie Rock and Soulful Indie Pop together. See our website for details.
