Life in the Shadows of Allington Hill
An exhibition exploring the past and present of Allington Hill.
In 2026 Bridport is celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Allington Hillbilly Volunteers and the 40th anniversary of the Bridport community raising funds that enabled the Woodland Trust to purchase Allington Hill.
The Allington Hillbilly Volunteers are collating memories and photographs of local residents who live in the shadows of Allington Hill. The exhibition at the Allsop Gallery will invite people to add to the exhibition, with the final work donated to the Bridport History Centre.
Alongside the exhibition will be workshops, exploring colour, texture and shapes within nature. Workshops will be held for all ages. Works of art depicting nature will be on display, to inspire people to explore techniques, natural materials, light and shade found within nature.
Exhibition open 26 March – 4 April, Wed – Sat, 10am – 4pm.
