Painting the Weather in West Bay – workshop led by Frances Hatch
Participants will create small scale paintings of the light, atmosphere and weather in West Bay with an option to include found materials.
11am: Meet outside Windy Corner Café, Quayside, West Bay, DT6 4GZ.
11am-2pm: A very short walk to a nearby place identified by Frances as suitable on the day. The group will settle on one location and work in the same area to enable Frances to support everyone throughout. The outcome will be 1-4 small scale evocations of light/atmosphere/weather at West Bay as experienced on the day. Frances will offer samples of West Bay cliff materials and an acrylic medium to anyone in the group who would like to integrate this within their work.
There will be a pause to have a bite to eat during the session and time to share experiences towards the end of our time together.
