The Peggy Party | Cèilidh

Strictly Come Folk Dancing! You’re invited to take part in a lively cèilidh at our annual Peggy Party.

Every year we host a party on the anniversary of the founding of Bridport Arts Centre with the aim of bringing our community together for an evening of fun and entertainment.

The event is named in honour of Peggy Chapman-Andrews, BAC’s founder who motivated the local community to come together to create a place for people to enjoy and experience the arts. We continue to take inspiration from her vision.

This year we’re celebrating with a cèilidh. So, get ready to let down your hair and make new friends!

We’re delighted to be joined by Chris Toyne on accordion and Liz Hall on violin. And caller Jane Thomas will provide expert guidance for each dance, so absolutely no prior experience is required.

The party will begin with a few words from BAC director Claire Tudge. There will be a complimentary drink (using  delicious apple juice from New House Farm – with bubbles for those who imbibe) and the bar will be open for further refreshment. Then on with the dancing!
