Portrait Photography with Carole Evans
Join photographer Carole Evans for a 15 minute slot where she will help you to take portraits of yourself/a group of people interacting with the 10+ metre long curtain in the gallery.
Carole will be setting up a professional photography studio in the gallery. Using Laura Eldret’s artwork as a backdrop, Carole will enable visitors to take their own professional portrait as a way of documenting Bridport Art Centre’s contribution to the Our Freedom: Then and Now project. You might be part of a community group that wants to get involved; it may be you and your family or it could be you as an individual.
Slots are available to book for free from 1-4pm. Book your 15 minute slot here.
Be quick! There are limited slots available.
Carole Evans joins us from the national programme of Our Freedom: Then and Now, who have funded the From and To exhibition. The photos she takes may be used in the national project photographic exhibition next year, but you can request that your photo is not used.
From and To is one of 60 new projects commissioned across the UK as part of Our Freedom: Then and Now, a new UK-wide, locally-led arts and creative programme, reflecting on what ‘Our Freedom’ means to communities following the 80th anniversary of VE/VJ Day. It is delivered in partnership with Libraries Connected and Open Eye Gallery, supported using public funding by UK Government through Arts Council England.
