The Cult Classic, The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert returns to cinemas this summer in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the 1994 release.
The story follows Anthony or “Tick” (Hugo Weaving) who convinces fellow drag queen Adam (Guy Pearce) and transgender friend Bernadette (Terence Stamp) to travel with him across the outback from Sydney to Alice Springs in the promise of their own drag show. They travel in a colourful tour bus dubbed ‘Priscilla’ and en route perform to various groups from enthusiastic crowds to homophobic locals.
However, when Anthony’s real motivation for the journey is revealed, it puts their act, and friendship, at risk.
