Chris Lucas, a professional adventurer and his Dad Niall, an actor in his youth, make the perfect father- and-son team to canoe 500 miles across the frozen wilderness, on one of the most remote rivers in Canada. Chris planned the 5-week trip down the Yukon to get to know his Dad better before becoming a father himself. Depending on each other for survival, theirs is a story of how adventure can bring us together, irrespective of age.
This is a film that inspires us to take action, to make time for the important relationships in our lives, to embrace the unknown, and to strike out on our own adventures.
Wonderfully scenic and not without it’s hairier moments, one of the trips top tips: if you ever find yourself in bear territory, pee around your tent. Bears don’t like the smell!
