Urban Writing Retreat: January 2026

Enjoy a quiet space, some warm-up exercises and the company of others to focus on your writing. 

We can’t all have a room of our own as Virginia Woolf recommended, but with a little imagination and support we can find space to write. Urban retreats, where writers take over a business space, are a great way to experience a period of sustained dedicated writing time. The gentle creative energy of a writing retreat can be mindful and energising, allowing each writer to engage in focused periods and restorative breaks where everyone is encouraged to ‘stay in the zone.’

Start something new, edit a work in progress, plan chapters or a poetry collection. The day will kick off with warm up exercises – the rest of the time is all yours.
