Now is the time to Come Together for Bridport Arts Centre
Bridport Arts Centre has launched a major fundraising campaign to secure its historic home and bring the building into community ownership. We have until 18 December. Now we’re asking everyone who loves BAC, Bridport and what this place brings to the town to come together and help make it happen.
There are moments when a community has the chance to do something that will make a difference for generations. For Bridport Arts Centre, this is one of them. We ‘ve been given an extraordinary opportunity to buy our building and bring it into community ownership, securing a permanent home for BAC and protecting its future.
This building has been part of Bridport’s cultural life for nearly a century. But BAC is much more than the building itself. It’s the people who fill it.
The artists and musicians. The filmmakers and performers. The volunteers, audiences, families and young people. The person coming to their first exhibition and the person who has been sitting in the same theatre for decades.
It’s a place to discover something new, see something brilliant, meet people, make things, exchange ideas and simply be together. And now we need to come together for BAC. We have until 18 December 2026 to secure the building. Over the coming months there will be events, performances, fundraising activities and plenty of ways to get involved, but the most important thing you can do right now is support the campaign.
