Winter Warmer Gig

Winter Warmer Gig celebrates local, young, musical talent

Bridport is a wonderful place for music, buzzing with quirky buskers, singer-songwriters, local bands, and DJ’s that everyone seems to know. On Saturday 18th December, from 7:00 pm, the Bridport Arts Centre will present the Winter Warmer Gig which will bring together a selection of these talented, local musicians to the WI Hall in Bridport.

This cosy, midwinter evening will feature original music from local artists. From the delightful Eve Appleton who is currently studying music and at BIMM Bristol, to local treasure Aidan Simpson whose music lights up many a quiet evening here. We will hear from Grace Crabtree and Bryony Moores O’Sullivan, who write music for their West Dorset based film making and arts collective Chasing Cow Productions. The BAC is honoured to welcome back the heart-breaking lyricist and pianist Joseph Hewetson, as well as the beautiful voice of Ella Squirrel who, having dipped her toe into the music industry stepped back to focus on her painting career. It is an honour to be able to gather some of these musical gems into the same space, to share their work and their magic with us.

We hope this is the first of many events which bring together such an abundance of musical talent to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
