Communty Projects

Please keep checking this page for community projects at Bridport Arts Centre.

Past Community Projects include

What is Beautiful?

We invited the community to tell us what they think is beautiful. We hosted workshops such as ‘Draw a Horse on the Forecourt’ where Banjo the horse posed for the public to draw him, local artist Jo Burlington hosted workshops for both the youngest and oldest artists in our community and visitors to The Allsop Gallery created responses to the question ‘What is Beautiful?’ for us to display on the gallery walls.

Bridport FM

Bridport FM was a community radio project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). It offered free training in programme making, interview technique, presenting and broadcasting skills so project volunteers could learn to make and present radio programmes.

The project culminated in a temporary radio station, Bridport FM.

The radio station was broadcast on FM on 87.7 FM and online via the link above. All the programmes were made by project volunteers.
