Flax Forward Community Conversation event

This first Community Conversation is an opportunity to hear from researchers and experts involved in the Flax Forward project. Our panel will include experts Sam Scriven and Richard Sims.

Geologist Sam Scriven has spent more than two decades helping to protect, interpret and share the remarkable natural and cultural heritage of the Jurassic Coast and local landscapes. Richard Sims is a respected local historian and author who specialises in the industrial and textile history of Bridport and the wider Dorset region.

Flax Forward Project is being delivered in partnership with Wessex Community Assets, Bridport Museum, Bridport Arts Centre and Bridport School of Regenerative Fashion, the project brings together heritage, craft and innovation.

This project is supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Trellis Foundation.
