Wings of Pride by Matt Wilding
This wonderful quilted artwork by artist, quilter and baker, Matt Wilding, is on display in the BAC foyer until 31 May.
It serves two purposes: to celebrate and to protect.
To celebrate… The wings represent power and pride in the LGBTQIA+ community with acceptance and equality.
To protect… The wings represent protection, vigilance and courage in the face of adversity.
Based on an eagle’s wingspan, it has been created in the colours of the progressive pride flag. Made in two pieces with the intention that it could be shared with someone to show your support.
Stand between the wings and give yourself Wings of Pride.
Please tag Matt and BAC in your social media posts so that we can repost them.
